Gaming Capital Group (GCG) is looking for a SMPS Technician to join our growing company.  This position will provide servicing, adjusting and repairing of all brands of SMPS units. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following

  • Provide technical direction to co-workers in troubleshooting of gaming devices or equipment, and record appropriate information on repair tags
  • Train technicians or co-workers to repair problems
  • Maintains communication with supervisors and coworkers on relevant issues at all times
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed by immediate managers
  • Preparation and installation of all gaming equipment
  • Maintain and comply with safety standards

This position is not limited to those duties listed in the job description.  Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced or deleted to meet business needs of the company.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required
  • Must have four (4) years or more of recent and related experience repairing slot machines and other gaming machines within the gaming industry
  • Course work in electronics; or certification from a trade or technical school with an emphasis on electronics; or a Slot Technician school covering electronics
  • Experience soldering both Thru Hole and SMD
  • Experience training, technical direction and guidance to technicians and co-workers
  • Experience performing repairs to assemblies at the work bench using basic test equipment and test fixtures following proper procedures, within deadlines or under pressure
  • Experience in problem solving, organizing and prioritizing work
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing
  • Sufficient computer skills to generate reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and / or Access
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
